When wanting to have a fundraiser it is important to consider the many different types of fundraisers themes that there are to choose from. The first thing to consider is what your organization is that you need a fundraiser for. If you are running a fundraiser for a community event or school you could have bake sales or sell products that are homemade such as candles or soaps. If your organization doesn’t want a run of the mill fundraiser you could have something original such as making coffee cups or various types of arts and crafts.
Snack food is a fantastic way to raise funds. Sell popcorn, doughnuts, muffins, and other treats that can be easily made. If making the products to sell is a bit of an inconvenience then items that are useful in other ways. Purchase wholesale items and add a bit of an overhead. Not your bag? Why not have a fundraiser where families come in and get their portraits done. It is especially easy for a school that has a dark room and all of the materials ahead of time cutting the costs of materials and avoiding having to pay a photographer by using the students. This could work for other types of fundraisers, too.
People love large meals and being able to get together with everyone in their neighborhood. Set up a fantastic meal where people can volunteer to help and donate food to make. Sell tickets to people in the area or part of the organization you are trying to support. This will create a popular fundraiser for low funds and your organization will get back ten fold or more dependent upon how much you decide to charge for the meal tickets. It could even be a seasonal type of meal where people may get together to have a Christmas dinner or if that doesn’t work it could be on another like a Fourth of July cookout or a New Years get together. With so many options, you will be able to have a successful event with little to no complications.
